Why every American should support Donald Trump

I delivered this speech at a Trump rally on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the Utah State Capitol.  Please share.

I am a mother and a grandmother, the first Republican woman to run for US Senate in Utah, a conservative talk show host, one of Utah’s Republican State Electors … and I am a Mormon.  I am here today to proudly support Donald J. Trump for President of the United States because he is the moral choice.

We’re not voting for the Pope. We’re voting for the President. As Phyllis Schlafly, the First Lady of the conservative movement and my long time friend and mentor, once said, “Like it or not, we have a two party system and Jesus is NOT on the ballot.”

And Evan McMullin, you are not Utah’s “savior.” In fact, you are stealing votes from the moral choice and giving them to the crooked choice, and you’ve admitted it. How principled is THAT?

Phyllis passed away at age 92 just one day before the launch of her final book, The Conservative Case for Trump. She endorsed him when it was not easy. She knew it‘s not about personality; it’s about the principles.

She said, “I asked him to stand by the Republican platform, because we have the best conservative platform we’ve ever had. He endorses it, he will stand by it, and he is a real conservative.”

To my colleagues in the mainstream media and their pollsters: This is not about you and your feeble attempts to manipulate the people with your spin and collusion. You have been exposed, and it’s because of Donald Trump’s tenacity and leadership that you have been brought down. He is the wrecking ball we’ve needed.

And Gloria Allred, we know who YOU are. No one condones assault. This election is not about you and your drama, and your opportunistic and phony charges against Republican men – charges that have been debunked every election cycle.  This is about our children’s future. It’s about the Supreme Court and who will appoint the next four justices – and many more judges and thousands of Washington D.C. bureaucrats.

Let’s look at what’s at stake for our children: We can maintain our “high moral ground” to vote for NeverTrump, while more babies are aborted, our second amendment rights vanish, and the Supreme Court is forever changed. In fact, according to one of Trump’s advisors, former Ambassador Faith Whittlesey, your NeverTrump vote is treason to the Pro-Life movement.

Do we want another former ACLU president, anti-god, -family and -country Ruth Bader Ginsburg, appointed by Bill Clinton?

Or Trump’s commitment to an originalist, respecter of First and Second amendment rights, such as Antonin Scalia, appointed by Ronald Reagan?

Do we want Clinton’s partial birth abortion choices?

Or Trump’s pro-Life choices?

Do we want Clinton’s war on religious liberty?

Or Trump’s championing of the repeal of the Johnson Amendment, restoring the First Amendment to religious institutions and non-profits?

Do we want to continue the Clinton’s globalist sell-out of production and jobs, undermining our rule of law?

Or do we want Donald Trump to fix or eliminate NAFTA, withdraw from TPP, and bring those jobs back home and keep our Constitution the Supreme law of the land?

Do we want Clinton’s open borders, flooding this land with too many that hate America, bringing crime and drugs to harm our children?

Or do we want Trump to make America great again, welcoming immigrants that love this country?

Do we want Clinton, the originator of the unconstitutional single-payer system – called HillaryCare – back in the White House?

Or do we want Donald Trump’s plan to repeal and replace the disastrous ObamaCare?

Do we want to continue the Clinton Corporate Crony machine in Washington DC padding their foundation pockets?

Or do we want Donald Trump to drain that swamp?

Hillary, you tell us that you want to solve our problems with more bureaucracy and government solutions. But I have a message for you: You ARE the problem. Donald Trump IS the solution!

When Mr. Trump spoke at Phyllis Schlafly’s funeral he said, “I’m sure that she’s telling us to keep up the fight. Phyllis, we love you, we miss you, and we will never, ever let you down.”

And that, my friends is why Donald Trump IS the moral choice for America!

Together we will make America great again! God bless Donald Trump and God bless America!

The Moral Case for Trump

My View: The Moral Case for Donald Trump

I’m a Mormon woman supporting a moral outcome on Election Day. I don’t condone sexual exploitation of anyone, and I believe Trump is the moral choice. Asking him to step aside is not an option, nor is it possible at this juncture, without causing chaos and court challenges. It would also set a terrible precedent empowering biased media collusion, as evidenced in recent WikiLeaks exposes. The outcome would be catastrophic, handing the election to Clinton. It’s open season, and it could get worse. But Trump’s a fighter, and that’s what America needs.

It leaves many people of faith asking, “What is the moral imperative? Can an immoral leader stand for moral public policy?”

Responses include voting for neither – or not at all. Others don’t buy the binary choice. As the late Phyllis Schlafly, first lady of the conservative movement, said, “We have a two party system, and Jesus is not on the ballot.”

[Read my tribute to Phyllis Schlafly.]

If you’re contemplating anything but the top two candidates and believe you will get a moral outcome, consider history [See Presidential Electoral history]:

The highest popular vote a third party candidate has ever received was 33 percent of the 270 electoral votes needed and 27.86 percent of the popular vote. The average number of electoral votes received is 6.44. A 1 to 2 percent third party vote can swing an election. McMullin is the intended spoiler candidate.

[Read more about this candidate in an editorial published August 24, 2016 – Spoiler Alert! Will Republicans Repeat 1964?]

In this close election, the outcome would likely be Clinton.

We can judge candidates by the policies they promote, the people that surround them and the money they receive. Unprecedented, Trump raised $32 million for the RNC, but received only a fraction. [$2.2 million] Obviously, the GOP global establishment despises his American sovereignty policies that protect the Constitution.  That accounts for their defection.

[See Trump’s policies here.]

Schlafly said, “The Republican Party has never had a stronger platform of moral, pro-American policy.” Trump helped craft it and endorsed it. Her last book outlines The Conservative Case for Trump. His campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, is a devout pro-Life Catholic woman. Many conservative religious leaders and 33 pro-Life leaders, including Phyllis Schlafly’s appointed successor, Ed Martin, surround him. For the first time, a presidential candidate champions the appointment of originalist judges in the tradition of Antonin Scalia, and the repeal of the Johnson Amendment, a huge win for religious liberty. Even Trump’s economic policy team is nearly absent the typical lineup of old guard Council on Foreign Relations, responsible for the history of weak foreign policy.

(Two lists, men and women]

A popular talk show host among some Mormons said, “If the consequence of standing against Trump and for principles is indeed the election of Hillary Clinton, so be it. At least it is a moral, ethical choice.” Really? One Utah GOP leader wrote, “We can maintain our ‘moral high ground’ while more babies get aborted, our second amendment rights vanish and the Supreme Court is changed forever.” Indeed, this is the platform Clinton pledged to support in the last debate.

We may not know what Trump will do, but we know what Clinton will do. She has already done it. We will get a hypocritical woman that laughed about ruining a 12-year old girl’s life by successfully representing her rapist. We will get more cover-ups, e-mails, immunities, $1.7 billion to Iran, $400 million ransom in untraceable foreign cash; Syria, Libya, Benghazi; also, single-payer HillaryCare, NAFTA’s lost jobs, open borders and a “new global economic order;” ongoing class warfare, riots, gangs, paid provocateurs, women and children slaughtered at Waco; the Clinton Foundation’s funding of 4,000 abortions in one year; handing Russia 20 percent of America’s uranium for $145 million profit; their personal profit of 94 percent of all donations, including from terrorist nations.

Historically, immoral – even pagan – leaders have been known to promote moral causes. No candidate is perfect. The moral choice is clear. That choice is Trump. He will make America great again.
