Population and Prosperity
Population plays a strategic role in economics and prosperity. Rising populations create prosperity. Declining populations create economic crises. Europe’s population crisis is one example.
The United States is beginning to feel the economic stresses of a population decline that has not been at replacement level. Today the U.S. population is not large enough to fund the social security retirements of the baby boomers.
