The Family: A Proclamation to the World
This is the official statement of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons – the “LDS” Church) on Marriage and the Family. Some small groups of “Mormons,” including a group called “Affirmation” and another called “Mormons Building Bridges” are infiltrating the LDS Church in an attempt to change the doctrine of the Church by normalizing, embracing, and accepting same sex attraction and same sex marriage. Active members of the LDS Church must be aware and understand that these groups do not represent the doctrine and their views have no foundation Biblically or historically in the LDS faith. Read this document carefully and share it with others who may be questioning this doctrine.
Others in elected office who claim to be Mormon or who are still on the membership rolls that do not support measures to protect and strengthen Marriage with pro-Marriage laws are not in harmony with their own religion’s teachings. Citizens must not be deceived. Regardless of the religious denomination, it is imperative that representatives are elected that support the Judeo-Christian ethic as documented in Biblical writings and history. The prosperity of all nations depend on this fundamental, unalienable truth: Marriage is between one man and one woman and every child deserves a home in which a mother and father have committed to a long-term – and in the LDS doctrine – eternal Marriage.
