Alert from “conservative” Utah: If the President’s message of “if Congress can’t get it done, I will” didn’t alarm you, I’m now sitting in a Democratic caucus in the Utah legislature and listening to a former “Republican” Lieutenant Governor – Greg Bell – blasting conservatives for being opposed to Medicaid expansion and delivering a presentation advocating expansion.

He truly believes that health care is a state role. This is a National Hospital Association presentation – a takeover by government and hospitals. He is claiming that the churches are not equipped to take on this role. He completely ignores the fact that churches once DID take on this role and very well. The primary purpose of expansion is to increase the number of taxpayer funded abortions.

This is a classic war between God and Caesar and Caesar believes he is God. What is Greg Bell thinking? What is Governor Herbert thinking? Where is this in our platform? In fact, the Republican state delegates voted overwhelmingly against these policies. People wake up!

Contact Governor Herbert today and tell him Utah will not be among the Democratic-led states expanding abortion services.

Here is the contact information for contact Utah State elected officials.

  1. ‘The primary purpose of expansion is to increase the number of taxpayer funded abortions.’ <– This statement is dishonest.  Where's your integrity, Cherilyn?

  2. Really now Ms. Eager, “The primary purpose of expansion is to increase the number of taxpayer funded abortions”? That is complete and utter baloney, and it’s embarrassing that you’re taken serious after spouting such lies.

Health Care is a personal matter which the government should keep out of. I mean all health care. Some of us do not want any insurance or anyone sticking their nose in how we take care of ourselves.

Government needs to get OUT of running health care, period. Is it not unbelievably clear?
